The Beginning

This is my spin on Cinderella. I used the Pertridge and Vanderburg family from Hidden Springs, so I do not take credit for these sims. Now for the story:

Hi! My name is Ella Carlisle. I'm 23 and still live with my step-mother and two sisters. My father passed away when I was 10, and my life has never been the same.

My step-mother Lonnie has never liked me and i doubt if she ever will. After my father died, she became a egotistic snob. I used to think that's how she copes with my father's passing, but it never wore off. She packed me and my two step-sisters up and moved us to Hidden Springs. Lonnie kept talking about royalty and becoming rich, but it's been 13 years and we're still living in the same house we moved into when my father died.

Astrid has to be the only sister I get along with. Maybe it's because she's absent-minded, but it's still nice to have someone in the house I can talk to.

Eunice was the definition of an evil step-sister. She always makes me the butt of her jokes. Her and Lonnie always bosses me around, and it's not like I can say no; I have no money and I'm stuck working under Lonnie in her catering business. It's okay, because happiness will fall into my life.

One day, while I was on my bed reading one of my father's many written books, my step-mother felt the need to come and yell at me about absolutely nothing, as usual.

Lonnie: WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! WHY HAVEN'T YOU CLEANED THE GIRLS ROOM?! DID YOUR CHORES?! GOTTEN THE GROCERIES?!

"ASTRID AND EUNICE CAN CLEAN THEIR OWN ROOMS AND ALL I WAS DOING WAS RELAXING BEFORE I GO TO THE STORE!"

Lonnie: "DID I TELL YOU TO RELAX? YOU CAN RELAX WHEN YOU'RE DEAD . . . LIKE YOUR FATHER!"

"DON'T YOU EVER TALK ABOUT MY FATHER LIKE THAT! HE WAS A GOOD MAN AND THE ONLY REASON HE MARRIED YOU WAS BECAUSE HE WANTED TO MAKE SURE I HAD A MOTHER!

Lonnie: YOU BELIEVE WHAT YOU WANT! GO GET THE GROCERIES!

On the other side of town, lived the prince and his family. (From Sebastian's POV)

Hello, my name is Sebastian Vanderburg, and I'm a prince. I'm not the live in a castle, have servants kind of prince but I am, indeed, a prince. My father, the king, felt it was time for a change; My father wanted me and my sister to grow up as normal people. He wanted us to be able to live and work for things, even though we are filthy rich, so he moved us to Hidden Springs.

My mother . . .

and my father wish for me to marry a normal, humble girl. All the women my age now, just want to marry for  the money, fame and power. My dad was lucky enough to find a great wife in my mother, and I wish to do the same.

My family is very close; well we are now. My sister ran away shortly after we moved here. It was her idea to move here, but something changed in her and she left. She was my best friend, granted I didn't have friends before me moved here, and now she's somewhere out there, alone. After she left, my mother became needy; she wanted us to do things as a family. We ate together, if we left the house, it was together. I understand she misses my sister, her daughter, but I wasn't gonna get up and leave her too. Today, she wanted the family to go to the art museum together, but I needed to stop by my job to pick up some paperwork, plus it would be nice for my parents to go out together, alone without me. Oh, did I mention I was a patrol officer?

After I left my job, I decided to call my partner to talk about a current case.
"Did you get that statement from that witness?"
Partner: " Naw, not yet. I've been having a hard time getting in touch with her."
"You're an officer, what you mean you're having a hard time, Have you been by her house?"
Partner: "Duh! That's the hard part. I know she's there, but because I don't have a warrant, I can't force her to open the door."
"Have you tried going to her job to talk to her?"
Partner: " No, not yet. I'm on my way there now."
"Where does she work?"
Partner: "At some grocery store downtown."
"You mean the one across from the our job?"
Partner: "...YEAA! That's the one"
"You are such a beetlestick"
Partner: "Shut Up and get over there before she gets off and leave"
"Alright, but you owe me, this is your part of the job"

And that's when I saw her. She had beautiful, healthy blonde hair, like mine of course. She looked so innocent, so cheerful, joyous. I had to talk to her, but how? Does she know I'm royalty? Should I let her know? Why haven't I seen her before?

As I stood in front of her, my mind went blank. Her deep brown eyes took me by surprise. Her eyes were unlike anything I ever saw; they showed innocence, hopelessness, pain, and love all in one. I stood there, mouth open, caught up in my words; my mind was blank. As she looked at me, it hit me that I hadn't said anything. What was I suppose to say? My mind and hear was racing, What do I say?

Reacting to the silence, I pulled flowers out of my deep imaginary pocket, hoping she would accept it . . .

And she loved it, that broke the ice. Now what to say next?

"My mother has blonde hair too!"
I couldn't believe I said that! I never choke this much when it came to girls. However, I never had to approach girls, they flock to me. Why wasn't this girl doing the same?

Ella: "That's cool, you got your blonde hair from your mother."
She thinks I'm weird, I know it. I wonder what her name is? Should I tell her mine? She stayed this long, maybe she's into me.

But before I could ask her name, a rather large woman came and I could see from this girl's eyes that she knew her.

Lonnie: *Oh no, she's talking to the prince. HE belongs to one of my beautiful daughters* There you are!

I couldn't believe my eyes, the large bitter woman just slapped my beautiful angel in front of me. I didn't know if I should've stepped in or turned my head.

Lonnie: You know better, Dinner was suppose to have been done! Get home!

And she left without saying goodbye.

"Ma'am, that was assault, I ca arrest you for that!"
Lonnie: " Oh, that, that was nothing, my step-daughter is always acting up. I have to discipline her."
"Her bad, I can't believe it. Her eyes, those beautiful eyes don't tell the story of a bad person."
Lonnie: That's how she does it, she lures men in with her eyes and makes them her slaves, that's why we moved here. We've been run out of every town we lived in. So I make her do chores around the house to occupy her time."
"Oh, well thanks for the heads-up"

Lonnie: "No problem, Prince Sebastian!"
"Wait, you know who I am?"
Lonnie: "Yes, I do. I do my research on royalty. I've been following you're family tree for years!"
"Oh, can you not broadcast it to the town? My family and I moved here to have a normal life."
Lonnie: "No problem, for a price"
"What?"

Lonnie: "I have two of the most beautiful daughters that doesn't really know anyone around here."
"What you getting at?"
Lonnie: "I want you to take them out, individually, on a date and possibly marry one."
"Excuse me, you think you can blackmail me to get into my family's money?"
Lonnie: "Nooo, noo! I was just kidding, hahaha, but it would be nice if you could take my girls out. They really don't know anyone around here, and your secret is safe with me."
"Okay, I would be delighted to take your daughters out."

Back at Lonnie's house (Ella's POV)

Eunice: 'Where have YOU been? We're all HUNGRY!"
"I was at the store, getting ingredients to make Autumn Salad for tonight"

Eunice: "AUTUMN SALAD! IT TOOK YOU THAT LONG TO GET VEGETABLES!! JUST STOP LYING AND GET IN THERE AND COOK US SOMETHING TO EAT!"

While I went to put away the groceries, I heard Lonnie talking to Astrid about a mystery guy.

Lonnie: "So he's gonna come and pick you and Eunice up and take you guys out."
Astrid: "Both of us? Together? I don't want to go on a date with my sister, Eww!"
Lonnie: "Noo, you airhead! You both will have separate dates with him!"
Astrid: "You mean one on one?"
Lonnie: "*sigh* Yes, sweetie! Now give momma you're best smile"

Astrid: "Cheese"
Lonnie: "Eh, it'll have to do"

As I listened to Lonnie express her excitement about the girls going on dates, all I could think about is my mystery guy. He was cute, in a weird kind of way. It was sweet of him to give me flowers, like he knew me. Maybe he thought I was someone else? I should've told him my name. Ugh! If Lonnie hadn't came, I would've been able to.

Lonnie from dining room: "HURRY UP ALREADY! WE'RE HUNGRY!"
"I'm coming!"

As they dug into the salad, I had to stand in my usual corner and wait for them to finish. I was never allowed to eat when they ate; I had to wait until they were finished . . .

clean their plates . . .

and then eat. It sucks, but Lonnie is my legal mother and I have to abide to her rules.

Then I end the day with a deep sleep, dreaming about my freedom!

This is the end of the first chapter! I REALLY REALLY hope you liked it! I am proud of this and look forward to adding a new chapter! Please give me your feedback, and suggestions, or corrections if you have any  =)
